Last year we put rain barrels by the studio and the barn. We had a terrible time with mosquito's. This year I was thinking to put clorine tablets in the barrels - (yikes - more chemicals!) not really wanting to do that I was dragging my feet. A friend of mine was here and we were talking about it and she suggested fish. Fish? Yep, plain old goldfish. I bought a few for each barrel and a few more for the stock tank - and what do ya know - no more mosquito's!

Fish in a barrel
Last year we put rain barrels by the studio and the barn. We had a terrible time with mosquito's. This year I was thinking to put clorine tablets in the barrels - (yikes - more chemicals!) not really wanting to do that I was dragging my feet. A friend of mine was here and we were talking about it and she suggested fish. Fish? Yep, plain old goldfish.
